Classic build

700c

Classic Peugeot build based on a Peugeot Sport frame. This build celebrates chrome in all its glory: the beautiful original chrome fenders, the lovely chain protector, even the universally unloved dork disc got the chrome treatment. Don’t be fooled by the entry-level 103 sticker, the whole bike was reimagined as a solid, utilitarian machine.

So many lovely parts on this build, but the rear derailleur is one of my favourites: a classic Huret Svelto with matching red pulley wheels. The pedals are bushless with a nice, chunky cage. The crankset is cottered pin, usually I discard them but this Stronglight three-arm design just looks fantastic, and it’s surprisingly lightweight too! Finished off, of course, with a well-used Brooks saddle.
